George Carlin Interview: He Spoke And I Heard

Everyone has favorites.

I have them, too. Here are a few of my favorite people quotes:

George Carlin: "Think off-center."

Roger Ebert: "The Muse visits while you are writing, not before."

Ernest Hemingway via Roger Ebert: "Isn't it pretty to think so."

That's sufficient for the moment. The video clip below is delightful. Not only is George Carlin being interviewed, he is being interviewed by a recent new favorite of mine Jon Stewart.

The clip is over 10 years old and they both look younger. But, I was amazed at how cute Jon looked. I'm going to write him and suggest he dye his hair and re-create that wonderful curl dangling down on his forehead... just as soon as I finish this.

I thought today I would give you a few of the videos that I enjoyed this week. All of them came from people I follow on Twitter.

I am especially fond of the Flocking Birds. I talked about groups of birds on another post. Nature is fascinating.

For example: the cardinals are gone again. What is up with that? Instead of cardinals at the feeder we now have a mother house finch who continues to feed her children way past when she should have stopped. In my humble opinion. Or, maybe not. Maybe she feeds her brood until she has another brood.

House Finches are originally from Mexico and were spread to the States by what is now illegal trafficing. They are beautiful birds in their own right, just as are the brilliant Gold Finches.

If you have any extra cardinals - please tell them we are good people with both water and sunflowers seeds - and send them off to us!
