And I don't mean black bananas..
A few posts ago I mentioned my brooch/pin collection. The photo above represents my "Vintage Fruit via Austria" collection. My first purchase was the "apple" pin in the lower left hand corner. The mottling that shows through the glass apples is from the metal back foil peeling. I believe all of these pins consist of molded glass (fruit and leaves) along with a Swarovski crystal. Austria is labeled on the back.
This is the twin of the original apple pin, only in better condition.
.This bluish green strawberry is the sister of the red strawberry.
This lovely one is a blackberry, I think.
Here is my last purchase of vintage fruit - the single pear. Don't see too many pears.
I have other collections: paper weights, hand blown crackle glass fruit, bakelite brooches and more, but none contain a black banana. Still looking.
